Siobhan Housden

Melbourne-born singer, Siobhan Housden captivates audiences with her pure, soulful expression as well as her quirky and sincere lyricism and compositions.

Half her childhood spent in Ireland shyly singing with her father in rock and roll sessions at the local pub and in sing song sessions around various kitchen tables, these days Siobhan lives in Melbourne, gigging in the northern suburbs as a solo act. Over the last year she has also fronted a number of jazz/soul groups, including “Planet Fantastic” performing at Bar 303, Open Studio and The Wesley Anne and The Stonington Jazz festival in 2014 and 2015.

Sometimes found singing to children in a giant inflatable salmon at festivals like Rainbow Serpent with The Nylon Zoo, Siobhan is a creative performance artist who engages in roving performance art, improvisational theatre and dance.

Musical influences ranging from Stevie wonder and Donny Hathaway to the Beatles, and Joni Mitchell, Siobhan is an expressive, colourful performer who loves to journey with her audience, be present engaging and create magic!
